George Wolf
George Wolf is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. Originally from Chicago, his work blends fine art, urban history, and experimental media, drawing from a dynamic background in skateboarding, silkscreen printing, fashion, and mural painting. With a practice rooted in both traditional technique and contemporary expression, George's visual language incorporates illustration, portraiture, painting, soft sculpture and neon in bold, layered compositions.
In 2022, Wolf’s piece Baby Doll was auctioned at Bonhams Los Angeles as part of The Laurel Foundation Auction, supporting LGBTQ+ youth. His ongoing collaboration with neon artist Rod Lathim has resulted in hybrid sculptural pieces that fuse light, fabric, and form. Wolf regularly collaborates with legendary New York City performance artist Joey Arias, whose inspiration can be seen in the sculptural portrait titled Joey II, which is showcased in this exhibit. George’s practice continues to evolve, creating work that is both provocative and personal.
