Kyle Quinn, born in Okinawa, Japan, currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. He received his BFA from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2010. He was an artist-in-residency through Altered Esthetics Gallery in Minneapolis, MN from 2014-2015, part of the Ace Air Residency - Ace Hotel’s Artist-In- Residency program in New York in 2016 and was an artist-in-residency for the Mauser Foundation for the month of April in 2022.
He is the owner, publisher, designer and curator for the Queer independent publishing house, Raw Meat Collective, established in 2015. His personal artistic practice shifts mediums between photography, painting, drawing, design and sculpture. His work has been shown both nationally and internationally, with works privately collected.
He has been published in ArtForum, BUTT Magazine, NYSAI Literacy Press, Hyperallergic, Posture Magazine, i-D for Vice / VICE, Fader, Tank Magazine, Physique Pictorial and many more. His artworks have been archived at The Frances Mulhall Achilles Library at the Whitney Museum of American Art ( x7 Titles), The Thomas J Watson Library at The Met and The Yale Private Library for his published titles, ephemera, photography and collaborative projects through Raw Meat Collective and as an independent artist. He is also an independent curator and art advisor for mid-level artists and galleries.
